Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has got Nigerians in their feelings following his dramatic transformation.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reported that Aribo now has a new look after he went bald in a bid to rejuvenate his poor form at Championship club, Southampton.

The Saints midfielder was spotted in training with his head shaved as he joined teammates to prepare for the clash against Middlesborough on Saturday.

Aribo’s struggles

Once regarded as one of Nigeria’s biggest and best players in Europe, the 27-year-old appears to look a shadow of his old self.

October 1, 2023, will make the attacking midfielder one year since he last scored a goal for his club Southampton.

His poor form at St. Mary’s has cost him a starting berth in the Saints team, with the Super Eagles now limited to cameos after making just one start in his last six matches.

Aribo, who also made just 13 starts last season as Southampton were relegated from the Premier League, has now taken a bold step to arrest the slump.

Aribo’s latest look has caused Nigerians to react, with some of them saying that the Super Eagle has changed his look as he does not want to be mistaken for rapper, Naira Marley, a Nigerian musician, who has been reportedly linked with the demise of his signee, Mohbad.

Some of the comments from Nigerians who reacted on the Pulse Sports Facebook page also noted that Aribo is not as good as he used to be.
