Amidst a hard-fought victory against Ghana, Kelechi Iheanacho endorses Finidi George for a permanent coaching role with the Super Eagles.

In a fiery clash between football powerhouses Nigeria and Ghana, the Super Eagles emerged victorious under the interim leadership of Finidi George.

Goals by Cyriel Dessers and substitute Ademola Lookman secured a narrow win against the Black Stars.

Kelechi Iheanacho voices his support for George's continued tenure in the team's top job.

Impressive Victory Against Ghana

The match between Nigeria and Ghana in Marrakech was a tense affair, culminating in a 2-1 win for the Super Eagles. Cyriel Dessers found the back of the net in the 38th minute, giving Nigeria an early lead.

Ademola Lookman, coming off the bench, further increased the advantage with a goal in the closing minutes. Despite Jordan Ayew's consolation goal for Ghana in stoppage time, it was Nigeria that emerged victorious.

Iheanacho's Vote of Confidence in Finidi George

Kelechi Iheanacho, the Nigerian striker, expressed his admiration for caretaker coach Finidi George's work with the team. Iheanacho believes that George has demonstrated his capabilities within a short period and should be given a permanent role in leading the Super Eagles.

In his own words, according to the Daily Post, Iheanacho said, "The coach has done a great job, it’s a short time for him to work with us. It’s just only him at the moment. Hopefully, he will get more chances with the team."
