Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has sent a passionate message ahead of the Arsenal clash, insisting he only cares about winning and shutting out distractions.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has issued a blunt message ahead of the club’s Premier League opener against Arsenal, making it clear that his sole focus is on securing a victory over the Gunners.

The Portuguese tactician reflected on lessons learned from a tough debut season at Old Trafford and vowed to shut out all distractions in preparation for one of the biggest games of the campaign.

Focused on the Arsenal Clash

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Amorim emphasised a day-by-day approach, noting that he does not want to look beyond Sunday’s crucial clash.

“I learned a lot last season. One of the things I learned is that I don’t need to focus a lot on the future. That doesn’t matter. I just want to win against Arsenal and focus on Arsenal,” Amorim said in the video posted by Sky Sports.

He added that any noise or distractions that could unsettle the team would be removed from the picture.

“I need to live day by day, like my players, and focus on each game. Everything that gets a little bit of noise to our team, I have to take out of the picture. So I just prepare to coach my team against Arsenal.”

Amorim, who endured a challenging start since joining Manchester United, is determined to start his first full season on a high by defeating Mikel Arteta's side.

His pre-match confidence extends to team news, according to the club website, with key players like Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui ruled out, but new signing Benjamin Sesko and returning players Joshua Zirkzee and Andre Onana available options.

Despite shocking predictions the club will finish poorly, the Manchester United boss has set a clear tone for the start of the campaign: blocking out distractions, focusing on the task at hand, and achieving redemption with an opening-day win against Arsenal.

The Premier League showdown at Old Trafford is set to be a major test for Amorim’s side as they look to rebuild and fight for a return to Europe.
