Leeds United manager has praised promising defender's return from injury, emphasizing potential and dedication as the team seeks championship success.

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has expressed his admiration for Harambee Stars prospect Djed Spence, who recently made a triumphant return to the team after a two-month injury layoff.

The 23-year-old defender had been sidelined since September when he sustained an injury during a training session.

Spence, whose family heritage spans Jamaican and Kenyan backgrounds, has featured in only one official match in Leeds colors since his arrival on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

"We need him right now as well because it was not just eight weeks he was missing, also difficult pre-season, he has to work even more disciplined and more professional than any other player to be back at his best level but I get a good feeling with him," Farke remarked about Spence's dedication and potential.

"He’s a good guy and he sometimes needs a push in order to be on it because he has so much potential but we don’t have to speak about his ability and potential. He’s got a good heart and hopefully, we can bring the best out of him," he added, emphasizing the defender's immense talent.

Spence, who boasts a talented family background, has an older sister, Karla-Simone, who has made her mark in the entertainment industry as an actress.

Karla-Simone has graced our screens in various films and programs, including notable titles such as "Blue Story," "The Confessions of Frannie Langton," and "Gold Digger."

The defender's journey to prominence also includes a stint in the Europa League last season while on loan at Rennes, during which he made two appearances, both against formidable opponents in Shakhtar Donetsk.

Leeds United fans are eagerly anticipating Spence's return to the pitch, as his skillset and commitment have the potential to bolster the team's defensive capabilities.

Leeds United, currently occupying the third spot in the championship standings, are gearing up for their next match on November 24th.

The Whites will be facing Rotherham away in South Yorkshire, and the return of Djed Spence promises to bolster their defensive lineup and add an extra dimension to their play.
