Girona strolled past Real Mallorca to continue their road to 42 points this season in the LALIGA with another brilliant win led by Brazil's Savio.

Girona have stormed to the summit of the LALIGA standings after another remarkable and dazzling display inspired by Brazilian youngster, Savio.

In a thrilling encounter at the Estadi Municipal de Montivili on Saturday, the 19-year-old showcased his brilliance against Real Mallorca. He scored one goal and assisted another as Girona defeated their visitors 5-3.

The match served as a scintillating curtain-raiser for the day’s activities as both teams combined to produce a mesmerising eight-goal spectacle.

Savio’s creative genius was on full display, serving as the driving force behind Girona’s impressive victory. 

He crafted three scoring opportunities, delivered two key passes and executed two dazzling dribbles before he was substituted in the 76th minute.

With this excellent performance, Savio’s season tally now boasts two goals and three assists in six matches for Girona.

Girona has now risen to the top of the LALIGA table with the latest win, representing a historic achievement for a club looking to hit 42 points this season.

Even in the face of a spirited late surge from Mallorcxas, who pulled two goals back late on, the club held on for the win. 

Girona have now strung together an unprecedented five consecutive wins in LALIGA, propelling them ahead of traditional powerhouses, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, in the League standings. 

Remarkably, Girona have also outscored every other team in the league, with goals netted against Mallorca taking their season’s total to an impressive 16 goals in just matches.
