Manchester United and Liverpool are set to do battle to land the Ghanaian international

Black Stars’ regular Antoine Semenyo’s rise at Bournemouth is turning heads at the very top of the Premier League.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian winger is now firmly on the radar of Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham, despite committing to a contract that runs until 2030.

A breakout season catches big eyes

Semenyo had a standout 2023/24 campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists across 37 Premier League games.

He finished as Bournemouth’s second-highest scorer, just behind Justin Kluivert, and proved vital in their attacking build-up and transition play.

His explosive pace, direct dribbling, and eye for goal have made him one of the highest-potential forwards outside the traditional top six.

Having spent two and a half seasons with the Cherries, the Ghanaian has developed into a complete forward who can operate across the front line, which is exactly what clubs like United and Liverpool are currently seeking.

Semenyo’s recent contract extension may not be enough to keep the suitors away, with his stock rising quickly across the league.

Both Manchester United and Liverpool are actively exploring attacking reinforcements, and Semenyo’s profile fits the bill.

For Manchester United, whose frontline struggled with consistency last season, his addition could offer pace and productivity on the flanks or as a support striker. Liverpool, on the other hand, are planning for long-term succession as they reshape their forward line under Arne Slot.

Although Bournemouth tied Semenyo down until 2030, insiders suggest the club may entertain offers exceeding market value if the player pushes for a move. With Tottenham also circling, a full-blown bidding war could erupt before the summer window closes.
