The countdown to Euro 2024 begins this week as 53 countries will look to slug it out for a place in the finals in Germany next summer.

There will be 23 spots up for grabs in the 2024 UEFA European Championship (Euros), with the host nation qualifying automatically.

The UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying tournament is an upcoming football competition that will be played from March 2023 to March 2024 to determine the 23 UEFA member men's national teams that will join the automatically qualified host team Germany in the UEFA Euro 2024 final tournament.

The competition will be linked with the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League, which will give countries a secondary route to qualify for the final tournament next summer.

Ahead of this month’s qualifier, football stars reported for duty with their national teams with a host of big names dressing to impress with their game off the pitch.

Three countries, in particular, have stood out above the rest, the Netherlands, France, and Switzerland.

The action gets underway on Thursday, March 23, when England visit Italy in a repeat of the Euro 2020 final in Group C.

On Friday, March 24, France take on the Netherlands in Group B, as Belgium travel to play Sweden in Group F.

Saturday, March 25, sees Spain take on Norway in Group A, same time Croatia will play Wales in Group D.

But before then, Switzerland will travel to play Belarus in Group I.

Here’s how the players turned up to their National team camps ahead of the Euros qualifier. Photos below.
