Premier League legend and former Man City star David Silva has called an end to his football career at the age of 37.

The Spanish midfielder joined City from Valencia in 2010 and made 436 appearances, scored 77 goals and provided 140 assists.

He also won 14 significant prizes during his ten years in England before moving to Spain, including four league crowns.

He moved to Real Sociedad in 2020 and made 93 appearances, scored seven goals and provided 18 assists.

Over his career, Silva added 35 goals in 125 appearances for Spain, which included victories at the World Cup and the Euros.

Silva's early retirement from football was caused by an anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered while training with Real Sociedad during preseason.
