The attacker, who left Gor Mahia last month, has linked up with his new Danish club and is looking forward to a fruitful stint in Europe.

Former Gor Mahia forward Rogers Mugisha is looking forward to a successful stint in Denmark after finally linking up AC Horsens from the Kenyan champions.

Mugisha joined Gor Mahia at the start of this campaign from UPDF FC but cut ties with the 20-time Kenyan champions just six months into his one-year deal after K’Ogalo received a lucrative offer.

As he looks forward to start a new chapter at Horsens, Mugisha is expecting a fruitful stint in Denmark.

“Here’s to a new start of a wonderful adventure. HOME SWEET HOM. Ready to create tons of memories at AC Horsens,” Mugisha posted on social media, accompanying the post with a team photo with the rest of his new team-mates.

The player arrived in Kenya with much expectation after being one of Uganda’s stars at the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt.

Mugisha was named the man of the match in Uganda’s encounter against Central African Republic and was also named in the Best XI of the group stages.

He went straight into the team with Gor Mahia coach Johnathan McKinstry deploying him on the wing or in midfield at times and became a regular starter until a hamstring injury suffered against Bidco United last October left him on the sidelines for over one month.

Horsens are playing in the Danish second division following their relegation from the top flight last season and currently sit seventh in the 12-team standings with 24 points from 18 matches.

The club have won seven and lost eight matches so far and will need an improved performance if they are to secure an instant return to the top flight.
