Kitara and Mbarara City sealed their promotion with victories away to Adjumani Town Council and Kaaro Karungi, respectively.

Kitara and Mbarara City are back to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after commanding performances away to Adjumani Town Council and Kaaro Karungi, respectively in the FUFA Big League on Thursday.

The two sides, just like the majority of the teams in the second division, have struggled to get points on the road but turned out in different colours.

Kitara rounded off their away fixtures in spectacular fashion beating the already-relegated Adjumani Town Council 3-0.

Paul Mucureezi continued with his form netting a freekick after 32 minutes of play to set the ball rolling following a foul on George Senkaaba.

The two then combined again in the first minute of the second half for Mucureezi to set Senkaaba for the second.

Moses Sseruyidde was unfortunate to see his rasping shot inside the box skew from target but Paddy Muhumuza ensured the score was beyond any late surprises heading the former’s corner for the third.

Mbarara City made no faults in Ibanda with two goals from Henry Kitegenyi and Jude Ssemugabi as they sealed their return back to the topflight after a season in the cold.

Kitegenyi scored his 20th goal of the season from the spot after Seiri Arigumaho was hacked inside the box.

Their skipper Ssemugabi put the score to bed five minutes into the second half finishing off a pass from Jamie Kisitu.

Kitara goes to 58 points, one above Mbarara City as the two battle for the title on the season's final day.
