Harambee Stars attacking midfielder Eric Johana Omondi produced a man-of-the-match performance as Romanian side UTA Arad brushed aside Hermannstadt on Saturday evening.
Omondi, who came on as a substitute at the beginning of the second half, played like a man possessed, oozing creativity and inspiring his teammates to victory.
The former Mathare United midfielder provided assists for both goals, to cap off an excellent display. He made four successful dribbles, passed the ball with 85 percent pass accuracy, created three big chances, gave four key passes and made two successful accurate long balls.

Mandela, who is seemingly starting to become a regular starter for Sundowns, did fairly okay although they were downed 1-0 by TP Mazembe on Saturday.
In the first half, both teams missed huge opportunities. FC Hermannstadt had a chance to take the lead through Daniel Paraschiv, and UTA also had another chance of their own through Rareș Pop, who hit the crossbar.
There was a flurry of opportunities produced in the second half . Kevin Luckassen missed on several occasions, but made up for it in the 80th minute when he opened the scoring after being set up well by Omondi.
Three minutes later, Claudiu Micovschi increased the advantage for the Aradenians to give them a 2-0 victory over their rivals.
