Renowned smartphone brand Tecno has announced an exciting new partnership with former Kenya international Denis Oliech and Harambee Stars defender Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma.

This collaboration was unveiled on Monday, days after the duo attended the opening ceremony of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Oliech, a football legend in his own right, participated in the Tecno AFCON Legends friendly football match in Ivory Coast, alongside esteemed African football icons like Asamoah Gyan.

The company took to their social media pages to express their enthusiasm, posting a photo of Dennis Oliech and stating, "The wait is over! We're ecstatic to announce our partnership with football legend Dennis Oliech for the Spark 20 series. It took a while, but the best things in life are worth waiting for!"

The excitement did not stop there, as Tecno also announced their partnership with Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma, who has recently joined Polish champions Rakow Czestochowa.

In their announcement, Tecno expressed their gratitude for the patience of their loyal fans, saying, "Apologies for the suspense, but the time has come! Thrilled to announce our long-awaited partnership with Marcelo for the Spark 20 series. Thank you for your patience - the best is yet to come!"

This exciting collaboration follows Tecno's recent partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as the official and exclusive smartphone sponsor for the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The partnership between Tecno and CAF was officially sealed during a momentous ceremony held in Singapore on the 21st of September 2023.

This collaboration not only highlights Tecno's commitment to supporting African football but also signifies CAF's dedication to embracing technological advancements to enhance the fan and player experience.

The Africa Cup of Nations, one of the most eagerly anticipated sporting spectacles in Africa, kicked off on January 13, 2024, in Abidjan.
