Daniele De Rossi's instant impact at Roma has earned comparisons with Jose Mourinho.

Roma's resurgence under the guidance of Daniele De Rossi has garnered praise from Italian newspapers following their convincing 4-0 victory over Cagliari.

De Rossi, who recently took the reins as head coach, has led Roma to three consecutive wins, propelling them just one point shy of fourth-placed Atalanta, despite the latter having a game in hand.

In their latest triumph, Roma dismantled struggling Cagliari, managed by former Roma boss Claudio Ranieri, with a resounding 4-0 scoreline. Italian newspapers were quick to laud De Rossi for the transformation he has brought to the team, emphasising the newfound attacking prowess and exciting playing style in stark contrast to their previous demeanour under José Mourinho.

Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport rated De Rossi's performance at 7.5/10, while Tuttosport awarded him a 7/10 rating. Turin-based paper Tuttosport acknowledged the significant shift in Roma's style, noting their more attacking mindset and improved ball possession under De Rossi's tutelage.

"Roma played well this time," praised Gazzetta, with Corriere dello Sport highlighting the increased pace of ball movement under De Rossi's guidance. The team has notched eight goals in their last three matches while conceding only twice.

De Rossi, the 2006 Italy World Cup winner, has signed a contract until the end of the season at the Stadio Olimpico, with no option for an extension beyond the current campaign.
