Chelsea have reportedly found an alternative for Nigeria's Victor Osimhen as Enzo Maresca looks to bolster his attack for next season.

Victor Osimhen remains in the news as clubs around Europe keep a close watch on the Nigerian goal-machine.

The 26-year-old was on target for Galatasaray in a 4-1 win over Sivasspor, scoring twice to take his tally for the season to 33 goals in 37 appearances.

Despite this red-hot form, Chelsea have reportedly decided to look elsewhere for their next striker.

According to FootballTransfers, the Blues have set their sights on Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

Unai Emery’s side have put a €60 million asking price on the head of the 29-year-old striker, who is under contract at Villa Park until 2028.

Chelsea have stayed away from signing players over the age of 26 in recent windows, but the report claims they could make an exception if a reasonable deal is agreed.

Osimhen's high wages and potential fee has pushed Chelsea in a different direction, and it is believed that if a deal for Watkins fails to materialise, the club could move for Ipswich star Liam Delap.
