Arsenal's interest in Declan Rice continues to grow after he helped his team secure a 2-2 draw at London Stadium on Sunday Afternoon.

The England international was the orchestrator of West Ham’s comeback after intercepting a ball from Thomas Partey before sliding the ball through to Paqueta who was fouled by Gabriel in the box with a penalty given and converted by Benrahma.

Declan Rice has reportedly been linked to Arsenal, according to Jamie Carragher, fueling rumours that the West Ham midfielder may be moving to north London this summer.

Rice's ambition is to reach the very top of the game

Rice has made it obvious that he wants to play at the highest level, and David Moyes has acknowledged that the midfielder has turned down lucrative contract offers in recent months.

After the match against Arsenal, the Sky Sports analyst was questioned about the claims of Rice joining Mikel Arteta's team, he said, “It might be a little bit more than that.”

Rice was reportedly a target for Arsenal after the World Cup, despite speculation for a long time that he would return to Chelsea.

Rice comment fuel’s speculations

It was assumed that Rice would be leaving West Ham after his remarks at the World Cup tournament in Qatar.

During the World Cup interview, Rice said, “I’ve been playing consistently well for my club and I feel like I really want to keep pushing. I see my friends here who are playing in the Champions League and for big trophies.

“You only get one career and at the end you want to look back at what you’ve won and the biggest games you’ve played in.”

After playing one more game than Pep Guardiola's squad, Mikel Arteta's team leads Manchester City by four points in the Premier League.

With a 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday, City will go ahead of their title rivals with just a few games left if they win their remaining match and beat Arsenal at the Etihad.
