Rivers United became the last team to book a spot in the Naija Super 8 following an enthralling 3-2 win over Insurance at the Eket Township Stadium.

Insurance continue to celebrate Iniobong

Insurance against Rivers United lived up to its pre-match hype as both NPFL teams ensured the final game of the playoffs ended up as a memorable clash.

Bendel Insurance fell to Rivers United again.

Rivers United led twice thanks to goals from Albert Korvah, the Liberian superstar, who netted in either half on Sunday evening.

But the game didn't go all Rivers way despite the Pride of Rivers taking on a second-string Insurance side.

On both occasions, the Benin Arsenal came back into the game, with Inioobong coming off the bench to unleash a Puskas-worthy equaliser.

Iniobong celebrates his stunning effort with his teammates.

“TERRIFIC! The control, the composure, the overhead stunt, the gaze at the post, the goalkeeper's position and the FINISHING,” the club posted on their social media page.

The goal which drew Insurance level at 2-2 has since gone viral and the club is still purring.

In the end, despite a gallant fight just days after winning the FA Cup in Asaba, United sealed the decisive win late on thanks to Morice Chukwu’s well -struck penalty.
