The Ogun State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has expressed their admiration for the administration and coaching staff of Remo Stars Football Club, Ikenne-Remo, for the team's historic qualification for the coveted CAF Champions League, just one year after participating in the CAF Confederation cup.

SWAN in a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Chairman, Hakeem Akintunde and Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, claimed that it wasn't by accident that Remo Stars Football Club qualified for the Champions League two years after rejoining the premier Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), but rather as a result of the owner's quick investment, their team's passion, and their hard work.
