How it happened

Barcelona took an early lead in the sixth minute when Andreas Christensen headed home from a corner delivered by Raphinha. However, Real Madrid responded swiftly, with Lucas Vázquez winning a penalty after being brought down by Pau Cubarsí in the box. Vinícius Júnior stepped up and converted the spot-kick to level the score.

The match continued to see-saw as Fermín López restored Barcelona's lead in the 70th minute after a mistake by Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin. However, Real Madrid equalized once again just moments later, with Lucas Vázquez finding the back of the net from a Vinícius cross.

As Barcelona pushed for a late equalizer, it was Real Madrid who struck the decisive blow, with Jude Bellingham scoring in the 88th minute to secure all three points for the home side.
