However, the Red Devils might not entertain any transfer talks concerning their midfield gem.

Manchester United midfielder Carlos Casemiro has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Bayern Munich.

According to reports, newly-appointed Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is a fan of the Brazilian, and the Bavarians will be tempted to sign him at the end of the season.

Casemiro moved to Old Trafford at the start of this campaign and has gone on to be a regular first-teamer under Erik ten Hag.

He already has one trophy after helping the Red Devils win the Carabao Cup when they defeated Newcastle United in early March. The Brazilian captain has five goals and seven assists across all competitions.

At Real Madrid, Casemiro established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders, and his transition into the Premier League looks seamless. Going by his rate of transition, he may as well not struggle to adapt to the Bundesliga terrain, should he make the move.

For now, Bayern have not made a formal approach for the midfielder, but given Casemiro’s caliber, eyes will be on him to see whether he will entertain such a move should the German side call for talks.

For now, Casemiro is not under pressure to leave Old Trafford since he signed a contract that will last until the summer of 2026. To lure him, the Bavarians will have to work even harder to get United into the negotiation talks over the midfielder.

Ten Hag is understood to be keen to bolster his midfield, and letting Casemiro leave is not an option for now.

Given that there is a huge possibility the Red Devils will participate in the Champions League, the presence of experienced stars like Casemiro – a serial Champions League winner with Real Madrid - will be key.

After his trophy-laden seasons at Santiago Bernabeu, Casemiro came to England to compete for trophies, and as he has yet to fully achieve that, he may not entertain a move elsewhere anytime soon.
