Luis Enrique revealed how Paris Saint-Germain plan to replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has offered insight into how the Parisians plan to replace their all-time top scorer, Kylian Mbappe, who is set to leave the club this summer.

Mbappe played his last game for the French champions in the 2-1 victory over Lyon to win the Coupe de France. Prior to the game, he published an emotional video in which he bade farewell to PSG fans; however, fans and administrators of the club have long been aware of his impending exit.

What Enrique said

The former Barcelona manager spoke to the media after the cup triumph when he was unavoidably questioned about the plan for a post-Mbappe PSG.

Enrique suggested that they will not focus on one big signing but will strengthen the team as a collective with multiple new players.

"How will we replace Mbappe? Four, five, six signings... Whatever we can do,” Enrique said, per GOAL.

“Kylian's replacement will be the team, which with the fans we have and the ambition this club has to win everything we will try in the coming seasons and we will see if we are capable of achieving it.

"It is a great challenge for any player who wants to come here. We want to make history." This club sooner or later will win that long-awaited Champions League. Years may pass, but it will win the Champions League in the future without a doubt.”

PSG remain one of the suitors for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and one of the most viable options for the former Lille man, given his expensive release clause.

With Enrique's proposed plan, the Parisians could decide against splashing the reported €130 million release clause on the Nigerian and instead spread the cash out throughout the squad.
