CAF Awards Aucho’s Yanga on the radar as prestigious CAF Awards return to Morocco

Senegalese star Sadio Mane and Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala are the reigning African men’s and women’s player of the year, respectively.

Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho and his Young Africans will be on the radar as CAF announced the venue and dates for this year’s awards.

CAF revealed that this year’s continental awards will be returning to Morocco on December 11th to crown the best from the year that ran from September 2022 to June 2023.

“The prestigious CAF Awards will make a welcome return on 11 December 2023 in Morocco to celebrate the stars of African football,” CAF communicated.

Among the awards lined up include the Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, Goal of the Year and the CAF African Player of the Year in both the men's and women's category.

Senegalese star Sadio Mane and Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala are the reigning African men’s and women’s player of the year, respectively.

Tanzanian giants, Young Africans, are in line for the Club of the Year following a successful year that saw them reach the CAF Confederation Cup final last season losing to Algeria’s USM Alger.
