Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta explains his team's competitive advantage in the title race.

Arsenal's recent triumphs have not only been a display of their formidable prowess on the field but also a statement of intent in the Premier League title race.

Blazing through Burnley with a 5-0 victory at Turf Moor, the Gunners showcased their lethal attacking force, with Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, and Kai Havertz all hitting the back of the net.

This follows a spectacular 6-0 rout against West Ham, further cementing their position as serious title contenders.

Gunners Gunning for Glory

The back-to-back wins have propelled Mikel Arteta's squad to the second spot on the table, trailing just two points behind Liverpool. Despite a rocky festive period, Arsenal has found its stride in 2024, maintaining a perfect Premier League record so far this year.

Manchester City, while still in contention, finds themselves slightly adrift after a draw with Chelsea, relying on a late equaliser from Rodri to salvage a point.

With the title race heating up and just four points separating the top three, every goal and result carries weight, potentially bringing goal difference into play—a scenario where Arsenal has managed to edge out a slight advantage.

 Arsenal's Hunger for More

Mikel Arteta expressed his satisfaction with the team's recent performances, emphasising the collective and individual contributions that have led to such dominant displays. "We want more and we know how important it is to be up there in the goal difference," Arteta remarked.

His pride in the team's desire for excellence was evident as he praised their relentless pursuit of goals and a staunch defence against conceding.

The Arsenal boss also pointed out the importance of maintaining momentum and consistency, attributing recent successes to the team's dominance in games and their ability to play in the opponent's half.

"I think the threat, the purpose, the activity, and the connections of the players are flowing, and they really want it," Arteta noted, acknowledging the positive energy and synergy among his players.

As Arsenal gears up for their next challenge against Porto, Arteta's focus remains on sustaining their current form and identity in what he anticipates to be a "really tough environment."
