Mikel Arteta has spoken about a possible transfer for youngster Folarin Balogun after the game against Nurnberg.

Folarin Balogun had an impressive loan spell with Stade Reims in France, scoring 21 league goals for his team.

He returned back to the Emirates at the end of his loan spell and has asked to be a regular starter or he leaves for regular playing time.

The Arsenal youngster has drawn interest from several top clubs in Europe with the likes of Juventus and Chelsea monitoring his situation.

Arteta has given an insight into Balogun’s transfer this summer and hopes to see how things go in the transfer window.

Arteta comment on Balogun’s transfer

After the 1-1 draw against Nurnberg, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked if Balogun will remain at the club or will be sold this summer.

Arteta said as reported by Romano Fabrizio, "Balogun? He’s just staying here with us at the moment and we will see what happens.”

Balogun has insisted that he wants more playing time if he is to stay at the Emirates and wants assurance from the manager.

However, Arteta has said that the youngster is just staying for the main time and hopes to see how things go later in the transfer window.

Arteta on transfer plans

Mikel Arteta also spoke about Arsenal’s transfer plans as they expect to confirm the signing of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.

Still speaking as reported by Fabrizio on Twitter, Arteta said, "Transfer plans? There are still a lot of things to do.

“Things develop all the time in the last few things as well. We need to be really on it and alert".

Arsenal are yet to confirm the signing of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber and could do that before the end of the week.

The Gunners are still looking to add one or two players to their current team and are also prepared to allow some players to leave this summer.
