Liverpool manager Arne Slot has opted out of a prestigious awards ceremony at the last minute, where he was set to be honoured as Manager of the Year.
The Reds manager suffered a humiliating defeat following a 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
The loss leaves the Premier League champions in 12th position on the table, just behind Manchester United.
Liverpool’s poor performance has left Slot under huge pressure to turn things around at Anfield, having lost six games in the league this season.

Jamie Redknapp believes Liverpool must remain patient with manager Arne Slot following their 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Slot snubs award
Slot was named the Northern Football Writers' Association Manager of the Year for guiding the Reds to a Premier League title in his first season.
However, the club's current form paints a starkly different picture, with Liverpool having lost eight of their last 11 matches amid a difficult squad transition.
The Dutch manager confirmed his non-attendance at 4 p.m. on Sunday, just hours before the event. The decision to skip the event came after a humbling loss at Anfield, where Forest secured their first consecutive wins at the stadium since 1978.
In his place, club ambassador Gary McAllister was called upon to accept the award. McAllister was reportedly at Leeds' match against Aston Villa and was contacted at halftime to stand in for Slot.
McAllister conveyed Slot's apologies to the attendees and shared a message from the manager, who expressed that he was "extremely proud" to receive the honour.
Other managers recognised at the ceremony included Leeds' Daniel Farke, Wrexham's Phil Parkinson, and Newcastle's Eddie Howe.
