Anthony Martial ordered to train alone by Erik Ten Hag admist uncertain future

In a dramatic twist at Old Trafford, Anthony Martial finds himself training away from the Manchester United squad, according to reports.

The French striker's future at the club hangs in the balance amidst rumours of a potential exit before the January transfer window shuts.

Training Turmoil: Martial's Solo Regime

Since the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on December 9, where Martial last featured, he has been sidelined, initially due to a sickness bug.

However, the plot thickens as Erik ten Hag, United's boss, reportedly aims to offload the striker. Martial hasn't trained with the team since the Bournemouth game, sparking speculation about his future at the club.

The Sun reported that Ten Hag has sidelined Martial until his fitness levels improve. SunSport reveals that Martial is on a personalized training program, a standard approach for players recovering from injuries or illness.

Agent's Rebuttal and Martial's Future

Contradicting these claims, Martial's agent, Philippe Lamboley, speaks out, denying that Martial has been isolated from the team. "What was said about him [training alone] is completely false.

He was not excluded from the group and he has no problem with the coach Erik ten Hag," Lamboley told Sky Sports. He reveals that Martial is set for surgery on a hip injury, dismissing rumours of a rift with Ten Hag.

As for Martial's future, Lamboley asserts that the Frenchman, whose contract expires in June, has no intention of leaving Manchester United in the January window.

Despite only scoring 12 Premier League goals in the last three-and-a-half seasons, including just one this term, Martial's agent emphasizes his commitment to United, where he's been a mainstay for nine seasons.
