The former AFC Leopards forward has now scored two goals in two stars after completing his move to Dinamo Brest from Dhofar.

Josephat Lopaga’s fine start to his Dinamo Brest career continued as he scored his second goal for the club in as many starts in the 2-1 win over Slutsk in the Belarusian Premier League.

Brest started the match in a lively manner, creating many dangerous chances, before finally scoring the opening goal just before the half time break through Mikhail Gordeychuk.

The game drew level in the second half after Slutsk equalised, but Lopaga restored Brest’s lead by scoring what proved to be the winning goal for the Belarusian outfit, to give them a crucial three points and a third victory in their last four Premier League games.

It was also Lopaga’s second goal in consecutive games as he got on the end of a Nikita Burak cross from the left flank after he made an intelligent run on the shoulder of the Slutsk defenders before slotting the ball home.

Lopaga's early passion for football initially led him to the Shy Football Academy and later to the Gor Mahia Youth team.

He continued his football journey with stints at Mount Kenya United and Posta Rangers before eventually landing at AFC Leopards.

Lopaga has also represented Kenya's Under-23 team in the CECAFA Championship, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
