Andy Robertson claimed that a furious Jurgen Klopp delivered a profanity-filled team talk at halftime.

Liverpool secured a 3-1 victory over stubborn Wolves as they struggled to match Wolves intensity in the first.

The Reds struggled to hit the ground running in the first half and performed poorly with Wolves dominating the game.

However, the second half was a different ball game as Liverpool controlled the match and won the game at the end of 90 minutes.

Robertson, who was also on the score sheet, insisted that it was Klopp’s team talk that changed their second-half approach.

Robertson on Liverpool’s win

After the game, Andy Robertson granted the press an interview and spoke about the difference made in the second half.

Robertson told TNT Sports as reported by Daily Mail, “I can tell you some of it but probably not all of it [what was said at half-time].

“We weren’t at the races in the first half. You can come up with excuses with lads travelling the world but at the end of the day, you need to be ready to play the game.

“It took us 45 minutes to get into it. Wolves were the better team and created the better chances.”

After struggling in the first half, Liverpool started to play better after the interval, and Mohamed Salah contributed two assists.

Despite their first-half struggle against Wolves, Liverpool has had a promising start to the Premier League campaign, winning four and drawing one of their first five games.

The win takes Liverpool to third position on the Premier League table as they keep tabs on Manchester City in the title race.
