A record number of OAU students were gathered and watched the AFCON 2023 final between Nigeria and Ivory Coast.
Students of Obafemi Awolowo Univerisity (OAU) put their names in Nigerian football history books during the AFCON 2023 final between the Super Eagles and the Elephants of Ivory Coast.
The students set a record for the largest viewing of a football match ever in Nigeria, with a reported record of more than 8000 students gathered at the Amphitheatre Lecture Hall.

They came out in their numbers to watch and support their darling Super Eagles play and gun for victory, a match that was watched by millions of people worldwide.
