Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella's Bayer Leverkusen have been tipped to add the Europa League title to their Bundesliga crown against Ademola Lookman.

Renowned Nigerian journalist Tunde Young has thrown his weight behind Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella to emerge victorious over their compatriot Ademola Lookman and his Atalanta side in the all-Nigerian showdown in the Europa League final.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that all is set for the all-Nigerian showdown in the Europa League final as Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta go head-to-head in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Boniface and Tella vs Lookman: Crossfire star gives verdict

Young, the famous CrossFire star, believes Leverkusen's remarkable season, which saw them become the first-ever Bundesliga club to go undefeated, makes them the clear favourites heading into the final clash.

"Bayer Leverkusen are on course for history, and I think they are going to do it," Young exclaimed in a video on Instagram.

"Leverkusen go into the final against Atalanta as the favourites, and I believe they are going to get it for one of many reasons."

Drawing a cinematic analogy, Young highlighted Leverkusen's undeniable momentum and the sense that this season is truly theirs for the taking.

"You know how you watch movies and there is an actor and boss? Leverkusen have that 'blood armour' this season,” he added. 

“This season is clearly about them; they own this season, and everything is working seemingly in their favour of Xabi Alonso's men. I don't see how they lose this final to Atalanta," he asserted.

The Nigerian journalist's unwavering faith in Boniface and Tella's ability to overcome their compatriot Lookman and his Atalanta side stems from the duo's outstanding performances that have been integral to Leverkusen's remarkable run.

Boniface and Tella have been sensational this season, and they have the chance to add the Europa League trophy to their already impressive Bundesliga title.

The Nigerian connection in Leverkusen's team is as strong as their team Leverkusen and according to Young, they will prevail in what promises to be an epic all-Nigerian showdown.

As the excitement builds in Dublin, the stage is set for a thrilling clash between the Super Eagles stars, the question is, is Tunde Young the only one firmly backing Boniface and Tella to lead Leverkusen to glory and make history in the process?
