Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, 58, posted a heartbreaking message on social media just hours after news broke of the tragic deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva.
The two were killed in a highway accident in Zamora, a province in western Spain, on Thursday morning.
Klopp managed Jota from the time he arrived at Liverpool following his September 2020 transfer from Wolves for over 40 million euros.

Klopp's message following Jota's death
The two shared a strong bond, and the German manager was deeply affected by the tragic news from Spain, expressing his grief in a poignant message.
"This is a moment I'm struggling with. There has to be a higher purpose! But I can't see it! I'm heartbroken by the news of the deaths of Diogo and his brother André.

"Diogo wasn't just a fantastic player, he was also an extraordinary friend, a loving and caring husband, and a devoted father! We will miss him so much!
