The Nigeria Women Football League Championship will kickoff in Ogun state from July 7 to July 14, 2023, at two selected venues.

However, only two teams will be promoted to the NWFL Premiership League, while another two teams will be relegated to the NWFL Nationwide League.

Ogun State to host NWFL Championship

The Chief Operating Officer of the NWFL, Modupe Shabi, confirmed that the NWFL Championship teams are scheduled to arrive in Ogun State on Friday, July 7.

Modupe noted that three matches from Groups A and B would be played on Match Day One on Saturday, July 8, and three matches from each group would be played on Match Day Two on Sunday, July 9.

She added that Monday, July 10, is rest day while Match Day Three is Tuesday, July 11, with three matches to be played.

NWFL Championship

With that said, we look at seven players to watch out for in this championship.
