'10x better than I expected' — Super Eagles legend reacts to Champions League final spectacle
Paris Saint-Germain just won their first-ever UEFA Champions League title after they absolutely tore up Inter in the final in Munich.
A 5-0 demolition of the Italian giants in the final stunned football fans worldwide, and Nigerian football legend Sunday Oliseh could not hide his admiration.
PSG blow Inter Milan away in historic Champions League final
What began as a tense affair in Munich quickly turned into a footballing masterclass by PSG. Luis Enrique’s men came out firing, and it took just 12 minutes for Achraf Hakimi to break the deadlock, thanks to a slick assist from the electrifying Desire Doué.
From that moment, the Parisians were in full throttle, orchestrating a clinic of quick passing, fearless pressing, and razor-sharp movement.
The second goal came via a deflected strike from Doué, whose link-up with Ousmane Dembélé left Inter’s backline scrambling.
After halftime, it only got uglier for the Nerazzurri. Inter lost Yann Bisseck to injury, and before they could reshuffle, Doué pounced again with a one-touch finish off Vitinha’s through ball.
Dembélé then sliced through the defence to set up Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for a calm fourth, before 18-year-old Senny Mayulu rounded off the rout with a powerful strike off the post.
Oliseh hails PSG’s performance as “tactically, technically and psychologically” perfect
Sunday Oliseh, former Super Eagles captain and respected football analyst, took to X (formerly Twitter) moments after the final whistle to heap praise on the French champions.
