Tyson Fury is not open to the possibility of facing Anthony Joshua.

English professional boxer Tyson Fury is still in negotiations for his first fight in 2023.

Fury the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion has however dismissed a showdown against British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua.

After Joshua's second loss to Oleksandr Usyk, Fury through his social media platforms proposed a fight to appease the fans.

Negotiations between Fury's manager Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions and Joshua's right-hand man Edwards Hearn of Matchroom sport proved unproductive.

Fury in a trilogy fight would go on to produce a knockout against long-term rival Derek Chisora.

Following the end of the fight, Fury teased unifying th division with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk who holds the IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO  heavyweight titles.

Fury on Joshua fight

Negotiations for an undisputed fight with the Usyk team have not been progressive and Warren could seek other options for Fury's return to the ring.

In an interview with SPORTbible, Fury dismissed revisiting negotiations with Joshua's team for a fight.

The decision by Fury to confirm that a fight against Joshua will not be happening comes after Hearn suggests it as a possibility for later in the year.

Hearn recently stated that after Joshua's fight against American Jermaine Franklin, conversations will begin with Fury for a heavyweight showdown.

Fury dismissed the idea immediately when asked as he is not interested in fighting Joshua now or in the future.

If these conditions are met, Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury will happen in 2023.

He said, "I don't even [want to] go there anymore. Finished. No interest in any AJ questions. Zero. Man's dead in my eyes.

"There's no business between me and him to be done. Finished. From 2017 to, however long it's been, 2022 - trying to make a fight. So, it's not happening."

Fury floated the idea of a fight against  Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist Francis Zavier Ngannou who recently was stripped of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight title.
