After the undisputed collapse, Anthony Joshua tells Tyson Fury to redeem himself with a British showdown.

English professional boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua is ready for a massive heavyweight British showdown.

Joshua is set for a return to the ring against  American professional boxer Jermaine Franklin.

Ahead of the fight, Joshua spoke to the media after a face-off with Franklin in London.

Anthony Joshua on Tyson Fury fight

The former heavyweight unified champion stated that he intends to take on English professional boxer Tyson Fury.

Fury holds the WBC heavyweight title and recently was unable to make an undisputed fight with Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua now believes Fury needs him now the undisputed title fight with Usyk collapse.

He said, “I think now - I feel like there's no better time. I feel like now Fury, providing the

Oleksandr Usyk fight doesn't happen, I think he needs me at the minute.”

Anthony Joshua on a potential undisputed fight

Joshua also talked about the possibility of eventually becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Before back-to-back defeats against Usyk, Joshua talked about becoming the first undisputed since Lennox Lewis.

After losing the four belts, Joshua has now dismissed the importance of the becoming undisputed.

He added, “I'm done with all that. Undisputed's a headache.

"I've been chasing that for a long time, that's a whole headache. I'll just get my hands on one of the titles.”

Joshua will now aim to bounce back from two defeats against Franklin at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
