Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has surpassed Carmelo Anthony in the NBA All-Time scoring list.

During the fourth quarter of the Phoenix Suns' matchup against the Houston Rockets, the 35-year-old forward made a successful free throw, accumulating his 28,290th point and securing the ninth spot on the all-time scoring list.

Durant concluded the game with 28 points, bringing his total career points to 28,296, just 300 behind Shaquille O'Neal, who holds the eighth spot on the all-time scoring list.

Highlighting Durant's scoring prowess, he reached the ninth position in 1036 games, a feat achieved in fewer games than Carmelo Anthony, who took 1260 games to reach his total.

Durant's remarkable achievement is underscored by his absence during the entire 2019-20 season due to an injury sustained in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

In the current top 10 all-time NBA scorers, the only active players are LeBron James, leading the list, and Durant, who has the potential to climb further if he maintains his current level of performance.
