Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to push for a 3rd MVP recording a triple-double as the Bucks beat the Wizards.

The Milwaukee Bucks recorded a 140-128 victory away against the Washington Wizards in the early hours of Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

The Bucks were hot from the start and put up 32 points in the first quarter to establish a three-point lead.

It was a monster second quarter from the Bucks as they put up 43 points extending their lead to 13 points going to the halftime break.

The third quarter was back and forth between two Eastern Conference teams but the Bucks put up 39 points and were able to stretch the lead to 17 points.

To close out the game, the Wizards put up 31 points in the fourth quarter Bucks brought in the second unit to hold on to a 12-point victory.

Greek-Nigerian professional basketball player Giannis Sina Antetokounmpo produced again another dominant performance to lead the Bucks to victory against the Wizards.

The Greek Freak produced 28 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, provided 10 assists, had two steals and one block in 33 minutes of action.

The 28-year-old made nine of his 16 shots, did not attempt from three-point range, and struggled from the line with 10 of 17.

It was an all-round dominant performance by Antetokounmpo showing his versatility in all facets of the game.

Antetokounmpo bagged his sixth triple of the season and instead of making a case for his third Most Valuable Player award trophy, he praised the teams' effort.

Speaking after the game, Antetokounmpo said, "Big team effort on everybody contributed very hard

"They've got guys that can step up at any time and uh you know just help contribute to for the team win.

"That's what the guys did tonight we have another one tomorrow I think from uh tonight we had a few moments throughout the game that we built good habits, uh we move the ball create some open shots some open looks.

"We have another one tomorrow I guess uh Chicago hopefully we can now play good basketball and get a win."

Antetokumpo is in the race for the 2022/23 Michael Jordan MVP award with Cameroonian professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid and also Serbian professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokić.

Antetokoumpo returns to action with the Bucks against the Chicago Bulls on the second night of a back-to-back scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 2023.
