Dwyane Wade attends as Mr Eazi's Cape Town Tigers lose to CFV-Beira

The Petro de Luanda squad from Angola defeated Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club (SLAC) 95-78 to become the first Nile Conference team to earn a spot in the BAL Playoffs.

With the win, the Angolan team maintains its perfect record and holds the top spot in the Nile Conference. 

Ater Majok led them with 15 points and 7 rebounds, and four other players also scored in double digits. 

On May 5, Petro will play host to Al Ahly, the defending Egyptian champion.

For S.L.A.C., Dane Miller and Emeka Nwabuzor scored a combined 47 points.

The Guinean champions, who have one victory in four games, will have one more opportunity to go to the playoffs on May 6 when they play Al Ahly in their last conference match.

Dwyane Wade attends as CFV-Beira beat  Cape Town Tigers

In the second game of the evening, which was as closely contested, Mozambique's CFV-Beira defeated Mr Eazi's South African side Cape Town Tigers 82-76. 

With two wins and two losses, Beira is currently third in the conference.

Ismael Nurmamade scored 20 points to help Beira, which was led by Najeal Young's 26 points. On May 5, they play the City Oilers in their final contest.

At the Hassan Mostafa Indoor Sports Complex in Cairo, three-time NBA champion and future Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade was in the crowd.

Wade was in attendance to watch his son Zaire Wade feature for the Cape Town Tigers.

Together, Michael Gbinije, Zaire Wade, and Evans Ganapamo scored 54 points for the Tigers, who will play the City Oilers on Saturday night in their last conference game.
