Track queen Shericka Jackson has delayed the start of her Olympic season again, by withdrawing from the Suzhou Diamond League, where she was scheduled to race Sha'Carri Richardson.

World 200m champion Shericka Jackson won't be making her season's debut against Sha'Carri Richardson as earlier scheduled, as she has withdrawn from the Suzhou Diamond League on April 27th.

Jackson and Richardson were confirmed to clash in the 200m event, but fans will now have to wait longer for any match-up between the renowned sprinters before the Paris Olympic Games.

It is the fourth time the Jamaican star has withdrawn for a meet this season, with the last being the Miramar Invitational, where she was listed to compete against the American in the 200m event but pulled out just a few days before the meet.

Their withdrawals stirred online conversations and questions centered on either being strategic with their races in an Olympic year, avoiding racing each before Paris, or simply not wanting to reveal their early season forms to the other's advantage.

Despite this, Richardson will still kick off her season in the women's 200m event at the Xiamen Diamond League on April 20th and is still scheduled to compete in Suzhou.

Other speedsters confirmed for Suzhou are Twanisha Terry, Tamara Clark, Anthonique Strachan, Daryll Neita, Mujinga Kambundji, Caisja Chandler, and Anavia Battle.

However, it remains unknown when Jackson will officially make her 2024 debut.
