The New Mexico Cross Country / Track & Field Head Coach Darren Gauson was elated to announce Pamela’s addition to the team, noting she will add depth owing to her great achievements in the world under the age of 20.

Kenny Bednarek has given insights into his scintillating form this season after being part of Team USA that delivered gold at the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas at the weekend.
The 19-year-old bagged a bronze medal in the women’s Under-20 race at the 2023 World Cross Country Championships in 2023.
She is also the Africa Under-20 champion and has managed to cement her place in the 3000m Steeplechase. She has already made a name for herself as one of Kenya’s rising distance stars.

The youngster has a Personal Best time of 9:35.25 over the distance, a time that would be ranked number three in the nation this season on the NCAA Outdoor Performance list.

American sprint legend Michael Johnson has detailed some key aspects in horseracing that he feels need to be incorporated in athletics in build-up to major championships.
Her cross country 10K lifetime best of 31:40 would rank number two among the nation’s fastest collegiate 10,000m races on the outdoor oval this year. She currently ranks number 52 in the world in cross country and number 76 in the world in the steeplechase.
She is already pursuing her campus education in Albuquerque and will be keen to compete for UNM as a freshman in the fall in cross country and immediately boost the Lobo women’s hopes of returning to the NCAA National Championship race as a team after narrowly missing out for the first time since 2007.
