AFCON 2025: Algeria vs Sudan preview, prediction, team news, and head-to-head

After failing to go past the group stage at the last two editions of the tournament, Algeria will hope to get the campaign going with a win. Sudan will do everything to ensure they do not make it easy for them.

Algeria emerged champions of Africa in 2019 after beating Senegal in the finals of the competition to win their second AFCON title. Since then, they have experienced a very poor run in the tournament with early exits.

While the Desert Warriors may not be full of confidence coming into this competition due to previous setbacks, their recent run of form may serve as a catalyst for getting positive results.
