Millions Kenya Police Will Receive for Mohammed Bajaber as Benni McCarthy Confirms Simba Transfer
Kenya Police are set to significantly gain from the transfer of Harambee Stars forward Mohammed Bajaber to Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
Bajaber signed for Police in a deal believed to be worth Ksh1 million in January this year and just over six months later, he has left the club.
The 22-year-old has been snapped up by Simba, who beat competition from local rivals Azam FC for his signature.

How Much has Bajaber Cost Simba?
As per multiple reports in Tanzania, Bajaber has been signed for $100,000 (Ksh12.9 million) which represents an Ksh11.9 million profit for Police in just six months.
Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy confirmed Bajaber's transfer, saying the player left with his blessings as he was also a doubt for the CHAN 2024 tournament due to an injury picked up in early June.
"Everyone knows he is one of the best players in the national team. He is a player I believe in a lot and I gave him opportunities in the national team so he has always been loyal to me, national team and his team-mates. He got an injury before the last international break, a thigh muscle which he was nursing," McCarthy said of Bajaber.
Benni McCarthy Sheds Light on Bajaber's Move
"We thought we could be able to use him midday through (CHAN 2024) but he still has a little bit of problems and you do not want to risk.
"He is one of our best players and one that was going to start but he would have missed all our group matches. So, to keep a player here that you gamble that you are going to reach the quarter-final and semi-final to play him, we made that decision that it would be better to let him leave. We also found out that he had an opportunity to join a giant club in Africa, Simba.
"So instead of keeping a player here and he is not going to play a part anyway, we’d rather let him go and get the necessary treatment that he needs with his new club and settle in."
Bajaber will travel to Dar es Salaam to link up with his new club where he will continue his recovery ahead of the 2025-26 season.
