Lwasa has signed a contract that will keep him at the club till June, although there is an option of triggering his stay with KCCA by an extra year.

The 24-year-old midfielder left Gor Mahia after a series of renewal talks between the player and the club, which unfortunately did not yield an agreement.

As a result, Lwasa left the club as a free agent, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Lwasa, who joined Gor Mahia in September 2021 from Kariobangi Sharks, had previously been a part of the football scene in Kenya, having made a name for himself while playing for Sofapaka.

Lwasa's exit from Gor Mahia came amid reports that the club’s transfer sanctions by FIFA due to breaches of contracts with some of their former players had been lifted.

Among the foreign players who remain with the club are Ugandan striker Patrick Kaddu, Rwandan defender Emery Bayisenge, and Patrick Sibomana highlighting the changing landscape within the team.

Lwasa spoke to the club media upon completion of his move to KCCA FC and said,

“I am happy for this opportunity to join KCCA FC. To be honest when the club approached me I did not have to think twice about it.

“I want to contribute to the current project and that is why I am here. I want to help the club achieve its objectives and I believe together with the rest of the group we can achieve something.”
