Lamine Yamal had a stunning 10-minute cameo against Tottenham Hotspur dubbed as the best performance in the Joan Gamper Trophy since Lionel Messi in 2005.
La Masia prodigy Lamine Yamal is helping FC Barcelona fans cope with the pending departure of Ousmane Dembele who has not played since his goal against Real Madrid in El Clasico.
When the 16-year-old entered the game, Barca was down 2-1 to the north Londoners.
He sprinted down the right wing in acres then cut into the area and laid off a pass with the outside of his foot for Ferran Torres to score the equalizer.
As the was coming close to the end, Yamal found Torres on the same flank, who turned to set up Ansu Fati for the game-winning goal.
Lamal, in stoppage time, left Sergio Reguilon flat-footed with his dribble before connecting with Fermin Lopez, who then set up Ez Abde to make it 4-2.

18 years later after the introduction of Messi, Barcelona fans believe that Yamal although playing just 10 minutes had a similar performance that will be remembered for ages as his introduction to the world.

Yamal will have to be exceptional over the course of his career if he is to replicate the accomplishments of Messi, who, at age 36, is still doing well for Inter Miami in the MLS.
