In the Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria defeated Cameroon 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals, where they will take on Angola.

Victor Osimhen's relentless pressing and intimidation of the Cameroon defense resulted in Ademola Lookman scoring in the 36th minute.

The Indomitable Lions were then held at bay by a team that has proven impervious at this AFCON, and in front of 22,085 spectators at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Lookman ensured victory in the 90th minute.
