Showtime Flag Football League Season X peaks with championship final between Spartans FC and Lagos Rebels.
The biggest Flag Football event in Africa will happen this Sunday, December 10 in Lagos, Nigeria where the SFFL Showtime Bowl Championship is set to happen.
Spartans FC and Lagos Rebels will battle it out for the Showtime Flag Football League season X championship game after dumping out the top seeds in an entertaining Semi-Final playoff.
Spartans FC and Lagos Rebels road to the Showtime Bowl
Spartans delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance to pick a championship final spot in the SFFL Showtime Season X by decimating Titans 38-0, handing a high-flying Titans the mercy rule, to end the game in the first half(2nd quarter).

In a game where defense was on top, Titans could only cross the halfway line once in the dying moments of the 2nd quarter but that resulted in the final nail in their coffin as the Spartans broke the line to set up the final play for the Spartans.
Elsewhere, for the second game running, Lagos Rebels left it late before booking a spot in the championship game with a 42-41 victory over top-seed, Lagos Athletics Flag Football.
With less than two minutes to the end of the game, Lagos Rebels made a touchdown before shutting out the form team, Lagos Athletics Flag Football with one minute left on the game clock.
League commissioner Adebare Adebayo described the results as the hallmark of what the league is all about unpredictability and entertainment of flag football.

I was not expecting this, I am not going to lie. The two teams came out and put on a show. I am expecting more excitement in the final. I expect them, to come put on a show, I can’t say who will edge it based on what we have seen so far because any team can step up on any given Sunday”.
SFFL Showtime Bowl Championship
The SFFL Showtime Bowl championship game will be held at Meadow Hall Way, Alma Beach Estate, Lekki-Epe Express Way Lekki on December 10th, 2023, bringing an end to nine weeks of gruelling action which started with 10 teams.
Launched In July 2023, SFFL Showtime, a Coed Flag Football League Is open to professionals and passionate newcomers across all development levels.
A press conference was held in Lagos on Tuesday, December 5 where major stakeholders from SFFL and both finalists were present to give a sneak peak of what to expect at the Showtime Bowl on Sunday.

The press parley saw a lot of big talk from the representatives of both teams which also served as a preview for the big showdown on Sunday.
The shiny and prestigious trophy to be presented on Sunday was unveiled along with the championship rings to be presented to the eventual winners.

Beyond the mouth-watering flag football action, there will also be other activities to engage the crowd including musical performances as revealed by League Commission Adejumo Adebare.
"On that day we'll be having some other stuff that we'll do before, just to build us up for the game itself, this game is very special to us, we want everybody to be there, seated and already excited before we get into it," Adebare said.
"We'll have fan zones as well where we'll see whatever fans in the stands that can throw the farthest, halftime shows as well will be a sight to see because we have an artist that's going to come to perform, so for that day it's going to be awesome, there's a whole package."
