Both teams are in camp putting in the work ahead of the competition slated for Ivory Coast.
The National Under 18 and 20 handball male teams are presently undergoing preparation in Lagos ahead of the IHF Trophy 2022 for Africa Zone 3 which will hold in Ivory Coast.
The two national teams coached by Coach Emeka Nnamani, for the under 18 boys team, and Coach Fidelis Obi, the gaffer for the under 20 boys teams, have started intensive training programme at the Rowe Park Sports Center in Yaba, Lagos.

Both coaches have invited players for the competition, with several of them involved at the recently concluded Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2022.
36 players called up
A total of 36 players are currently in camp, made up of 18 players for the under-18s and 18 players for the under-20s, dominated by players from Rima Sokoto, Kano Pillars and Tojemarine Academy.
The players will their fitness levels assessed ahead of the championship to ascertain that they are in top shape to make the nation proud.

Nigeria will be participating in the IHF Trophy 2022 for Africa Zone 3 from the November 21 to the 27, 2022 which is the last for the Africa Zone.
Previous championships for the IHF Trophy 2022 for the Africa Zone were held in Harare, Zimbabwe, Moroni in Comoros, Nairobi in Kenya and very recently Conakry in Guinea.
