Nottingham Forest will have to continue their relegation fight without the talented player who helped them end a 12-game winless run against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams is ‘gutted’ he will miss the rest of the season after he suffered a serious injury against Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend.
Williams fractured his jaw as the Reds boosted their revival hopes with a shock 3-1 victory against the Seagulls.
The fullback was on the pitch for over an hour before he was stretched out after he sustained the injury that will now see him miss the rest of the season.
Forest lose Neco for the season
Forest claimed their first win in 12 matches after coming from behind to see off FA Cup semifinalists Brighton in superb fashion.
But the win came at a huge cost for the home side who suffered a major injury setback when Neco came off badly hurt following a collision with teammates Brennan Johnson.

Awoniyi troubles Liverpool as Salah breaks Fowler’s record in Reds win over Nottingham Forest
Taiwo Awoniyi was in action but it was Salah’s day as Liverpool edged out Nottingham Forest.
His horror injury came three minutes before Nigeria Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi assisted Danilo to give the host the lead for the first time after Facundo Buinanotte’s opener for the Seagulls in the first half was cancelled by Pascal Gross’ own goal.
Morgan Gibbs-White eventually wrapped up the win for Steve Cooper’s men in added time as they moved out of the relegation zone albeit just a point clear of danger.
