The two attackers were among the outstanding performers in gameweek 22 of the Bundesliga 2022/2023 season.

From Benjamin Pavard to Timo Werner, Bundesliga gameweek 22 delivered, with some strong performances from players and teams.

Bayern Munich retained their place at the summit after beating Union Berlin in a top-of-the-table clash.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund stayed close behind them after they beat Hoffenheim away from home.

The weekend was a spectacle of quality football, with great individual performances from some players.

But who are the 11 players in the Pulse Sports team of the week?

Goalkeeper: Oliver Baumann [Hoffenheim] vs Borussia Dortmund

Hoffenheim lost their clash at home to Dortmund, extending their poor run of no wins in league matches since October.

However, the home side were lucky to lose by just a goal margin, thanks to the heroics of their captain Oliver Baumann.

Dortmund should have had a comfortable afternoon but met an inspired Baumann in goal. The Austrian goalkeeper made whopping 11 saves to keep Hoffenheim’s dignity intact.

Centre-Back: Agustin Rogel [Hertha Berlin] vs Augsburg

Hertha Berlin got out of the relegation zone over the weekend after a clean sheet 2-0 victory over Augsburg at Olympiastadion Berlin.

Uruguayan defender Agustin Rogel played a massive role in the win, both in defence and attack.

The 25-year-old set up one of the goals while he also put in an incredible shift at the back. Rogel made six clearances, blocked two shots and won three duels to ensure Hertha’s clean sheet on the day.

Centre-Back: Nico Schlotterbeck [Borussia Dortmund] vs Hoffenheim

In fairness, Dortmund were largely untroubled in their clash against Hoffenheim. But on the few occasions they faced threats, Nico Schlotterbeck dealt with them perfectly.

The French World Cup winner did not put a foot wrong at the back, with a whopping 95% pass accuracy, one interception and one tackle.

Left-Back: Borna Sosa [VFB Stuttgart] vs Schalke 04

Sosa makes our team of the week again, although this time his team is on the losing side. Still, he produced another display in Stuttgart’s 2-1 loss to Schalke.

The Croatian defender scored Stuttgart’s only goal in the match and was also diligent in his defensive duties.

Defensive Midfielder: Djibril Sow [Eintracht Frankfurt] vs RB Leipzig

Frankfurt lost their clash against Leipzig but Sow can be proud of his performance in the middle of the park.

The Swiss midfielder dragged the away side back into the game with his goal, although it was not enough to salvage a point.

Sow was busy in the middle, getting into duels, winning four of them.

Central Midfielder- Niklas Schmidt [Werder Bremen] vs VFL Bochum

Werder Bremen were 3-0 comfortable winners against Bochum, with Schmidt playing a vital part.

Attacking Midfielder: [RB Leipzig] vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Forsberg played just 70 minutes of Lepizig’s 2-1 win over Frankfurt, but it was enough for him to do the damage.

The Swedish star pulled the strings for the Red Bulls in the middle of the park, scoring one and creating another.

Right Winger: Kingsley Coman [Bayern Munich] vs Union Berlin

Coman was Bayern’s star man as the Bavaria giants showed again they are still the top team in Germany.
