Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Troost-Ekong acknowledged the difficult position Nigeria finds themselves in but vowed that the team will fight to the end.
“There are players here who want to make names for themselves, and those who will want their names to go down well in history. So, they are fully prepared and will play to win,” he said.

“Tomorrow may not be 100 per cent in our hands, but we will do our best and win the match," he added.
The Super Eagles, who last featured at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, are under pressure to deliver after an inconsistent qualification campaign that has seen them drop crucial points in earlier matches.
