Sevilla's new loan signing, Neal Maupay, has expressed his enthusiasm for a potential attacking partnership with Nigerian international Akor Adams.
The 29-year-old forward arrived at the Andalusian club from Olympique de Marseille on a loan deal that includes an option to buy.
Maupay found his opportunities limited at the French club, making only three appearances under manager Roberto De Zerbi this season, prompting a move in search of regular playing time.
Adams, meanwhile, has been in fine form since returning from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he successfully partnered Victor Osimhen for Nigeria.

Nigerian striker Akor Adams made history on Saturday night, scoring a decisive penalty to secure a win for Sevilla.
Maupay ready to partner Adams
Speaking to the press, Maupay acknowledged his recent lack of match fitness but affirmed his commitment to his new club.
"It’s been difficult because I haven’t played much, but I'm looking to bring my best to Sevilla," the former Brighton & Hove Albion striker stated, as reported by Orgullobiri.
The French-Argentinian forward believes his style of play can complement that of Adams, offering the team a new dimension in attack. While comfortable playing as a lone striker, he is keen to link up with the Super Eagles star.
"We can play together. We are different, and that can help the team," Maupay explained. "We will give our maximum to win games and make the fans happy."
Adams’ recent goal-scoring streak has reportedly led Sevilla's head coach, Matías Almeyda, to consider a tactical shift to a two-striker system to maximise his team's offensive output.
Maupay could be in line to make his debut for Sevilla in their upcoming match against Mallorca at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix next Monday.
